A garden trip to San Juan Capistrano

For the UCLARA members who have asked about more garden programs we have an opportunity to visit the Tree of Life nursery in San Juan Capistrano.  We know this is short notice, but we didn't want our members to miss out on this opportunity.

The Pacific Palisades Garden Club has organized this tour and has invited us to join them.  Tree of Life nursery is the largest grower of drought tolerant, California native plants in California.  Spring is a beautiful and colorful season and we expect to see sages, sunflowers, and other types of plants in full bloom.

With reasonable prices and helpful, knowledgeable staff we expect to have a very good time.  The nursery is off the beaten path and the bus ride will be about one hour and a half.  Wear comfortable shoes and bring a hat and sunscreen.

Bus: will depart from Sunset Blvd & Los Liones Drive, Pacific Palisades; available for boarding at 8:30 a.m.; departs promptly at 9:00 a.m.; returns at approximately 3 p.m.

Lunch: Following the tour, the bus will take participants into town for a no-host lunch at one of several Mexican restaurants.

Cost: $20

Registration: Open to UCLARA members and their guest only. Online registration is not available. If you are interested in going, please contact Barbara Wold as soon as possible.  Barbara can be reached at bbwold@roadrunner.com or (310) 476-1318
