The UCLA Retirees Association (UCLARA), an active and vibrant organization, provides opportunities to continue friendships with colleagues and stay engaged with the campus through a wide variety of activities and events. More importantly, UCLARA monitors issues that might affect retirees, represents retiree interests to University administrators and advocates for retention of retiree benefits. Membership dues support our advocacy efforts and member activities.
UCLARA welcomes all UCLA retirees and active employees as well as their spouses/partners (and others with board approval). Click here to join now.

UCLARA Member Benefits
Join Us on Facebook
UCLARA has a group Facebook page! Joining is easy, but the group is private so you do need to request membership. Go to the UCLARA Facebook page. Click the bar that says “Join Group." That sends your request to the Group Administrator. Once approved, you will be notified when you log on to Facebook. Then you can add your "likes" and comments!
UCLARA has been recognized by the UC Regents as an official affiliate organization of UCLA. The association partners with the UCLA Emeriti Association and several other campus units to represent retiree interests to the University and include retirees in campus life.
UCLARA receives administrative support from the UCLA Emeriti/Retirees Relations Center (ERRC), a campus department that provides the connecting link between UCLA and its retirees. The ERRC sends regular retiree email updates, offers educational workshops, publicizes volunteer opportunities, provides resource referrals and offers complimentary notary services to retirees.
Over the years, UCLARA has helped achieve a variety of privileges for retirees, including:
The UCLA Emeriti/Retirees Relations Center (ERRC) coordinates retiree privileges. Please visit their website or contact them for details.
UCLARA Staff Development Scholarship Endowment Fund
UCLARA partners with UCLA Staff Assembly to award several scholarships each year to staff who are pursuing their education while working at UCLA.
Currently, scholarships are funded by a portion of member dues, but an endowment fund has been established and we are well on our way to reaching the fund goal of $50,000.
Your tax-deductible donation will help us to endow this scholarship fund for future generations of UCLA staff.
