We like to think of ourselves as providing the “big tent” to our members. As a member, you will enjoy opportunities to connect with other members through events and interest groups, to stay engaged with UCLA, and to know that you are supporting the association's efforts to maintain or improve retiree benefits.

Current dues are $25 for Regular and Affiliate Members and $35 for members plus their spouses/partners. 

There are two ways to join:

• Online form (pay via credit card)
• Mail-in form (print PDF, mail with check)

Retirees joining the UCLA Retirees Association for the first time are eligible for a free, regular membership during the fiscal year joined.  The trial period will end June 30, 2024.  Please note that there is an option to include one's spouse/partner in the trial membership for the normal $10.

Detailed Information about Membership

Here are all the categories of membership:

• Regular Member: Open to all University of California retirees and active employees.

• Regular Member, Annual Automatic Membership Renewal: Open to all University of California retirees and active employees, renews annually unless canceled. 

• Associate Member: Open to spouses/partners of Regular Members, with full privileges except voting and eligibility for elected office. Widows or widowers of deceased members may convert to Regular or Affiliate Membership.

• Affiliate Member: Open to persons who do not qualify for Regular or Associate Membership, after approval by the UCLARA Board of Directors, with full privileges except voting and eligibility for elected office. Spouses/partners of Affiliate Members have the same privileges as Associate Members. 

• Honorary Member: Complimentary, lifelong membership; open to members who have reached the age of 85, or provided unusual, exemplary service to the Association, upon the recommendation of a Board of Directors member and Board approval.

• First Year Free Trial Member: Retirees joining the UCLA Retirees Association for the first time are eligible for a free, regular membership during the fiscal year joined.  The trial period will end June 30, 2024.

• Plus Spouse/Partner:  For $10, Spouse/Partner membership can be added to other memberships.
