Interested in modern and contemporary art? See a fantastic private collection in the home of an extraordinary collector. Join a tour of the Frederick R. Weisman Foundation. Weisman was a successful entrepreneur, a philanthropist and art collector. More than 400 works of art are displayed in his 1920’s Mediterranean-style villa and a contemporary annex. The Weisman collection includes works by Calder, Noguchi, Rothko, Frankenthaler, Lichtenstein, Ruscha, Goode, de Kooning and many others. The tour will include the estate, annex and surrounding gardens.
Activity level: The Foundation cautions that those with walking difficulty may find this visit quite strenuous. This is a walking tour of 1½ hrs with a total of 200 stairs. There is a short stop in the Music Room.

Registration: This event is open to UCLARA members and one guest until April 10, 2019. Beginning April 11, this event will be open to both UCLARA and Emeriti Association members and one guest.
