Come join the UCLARA group at the Huntington Library, Art Collections and Botanical Gardens for a 90-minute walking tour of the Chinese Garden. Small groups will be guided by specially-trained docents walking through a traditional Suzhou-style garden, featuring a 1.5 acre lake, pavilions, a canyon waterfall and hand-carved stone bridges set against a wooded backdrop of mature oaks, pines, camellias and plum trees.
After the Chinese Garden tour, there will be time for lunch at several different restaurant options and maybe some brief personal exploration before leaving the Huntington on the bus around 2:15 pm – 2:30 pm.
Photography is permitted, but no tripods, monopods or selfie sticks, please.

Inclusions: The cost includes the Huntington admission, the docent tour of the Chinese Garden, and round-trip bus transportation (see details below). Lunch is not included in this price. Individuals can choose to dine at the Huntington or at a nearby restaurant.
Activity level: There will be a considerable amount of walking, but benches are located along the tour. Wear comfortable, flat shoes and bring a hat.

Cancellations: Cancellations before March 20 will receive a refund. After March 20, refunds will be issued only if your space can be filled.
Transportation: Round-trip bus transportation is included from two different locations: the Westwood Federal building (11000 Wilshire Blvd, L.A., CA 90024) parking lot at 8:15 a.m. and Balboa Sports Center (17015 Burbank Blvd, Encino, CA, 91316) at 9:15 a.m. Parking is free at both the Federal Building and Balboa Park.
If you don't wish to ride the bus, you can drive to the Huntington Library (1151 Oxford Road, San Marino. CA 91108). Please arrive by 10:15 a.m. Parking at the Library is also free. Cost is the same regardless of mode of transportation.
