It has been called UCLA's "Secret Picasso." Since 1988, Library Special Collections in the Young Research Library has been home to a painting by Pablo Picasso made for his friend and patron Gertrude Stein. The painting is historically important because Picasso painted it at the dawn of Cubism. Following the talk, attendees will have the opportunity to see the original painting in the Research Library.
