A Virtual Tour with Sarah Cifarelli, LAX Art Program Director
As we get ready to travel again, have you wondered what's going on at LAX International Airport?
LAX is undergoing a major transformation as it expands and modernizes many of its facilities. As LAX grows, so does the LAX Art Program. Join us for a virtual tour by LAX Art Program Director Sarah Cifarelli of LAX's 14 current art exhibitions. You'll learn about some of the structural changes at the airport and a bit about the 14 current art exhibitions featured at the airport.
It's impossible to see many of these exhibitions as we usually come and go from one terminal. In this virtual session Ms. Cifarelli will take through a number of the terminals for an up close and personal look.
The mission of the Art Program is to present diverse and memorable art experiences to enhance and humanize the travel experience at LAX and the LAX FlyAway bus terminal in Van Nuys. Featuring local and regional artists through temporary exhibitions, permanent art installations, and cultural performances, the Art Program provides access to an array of contemporary artworks that reflect and celebrate the region's creative caliber.
Performances and art exhibits to enjoy as we begin to travel once again to and from LAX.
Registration: This event is open to UCLARA members and Emeriti Association members starting July 1, 2021 until July 17, 2021. All registration closes on July 17, 2021. This tour is limited to 99 participants.
