Joel McCrea-a legendary name in cinema of the West, and his wife, Frances Dee, developed a working ranch in Thousand Oaks and we have the exclusive tour (10:30am-12n) of the ranch lead by a former UCLA staffer. The tour includes the ranch facilities, a film shown in the visitor's center and a Q and A with McCrea's eldest grandson Wyatt.
Following a no-host lunch and a short drive, we conclude the day with a 45 minute docent guided tour of Gardens of the World-a cultural excursion via flora and landscaping created by Ed and Lynn Hogan (Pleasant Holidays tours).
Activity level: McCrea Ranch-Easy, walking on level ground, but some stairs into buildings.

Registration: This event is open to UCLARA members and guests until Oct. 17, 2019. Beginning Oct. 3, 2019 , this event will be open to both UCLARA and Emeriti Association members and one guest. All registration closes on Oct. 17, 2019. This tour is now allowing additional participants up to 40. (as of 10.1.19)
