The Artist's Garden at Giverny, 1900 by Claude Monet

Monet-At Home with a Master

In 1890, Claude Monet purchased the property he rented at Giverny where he lived with his second wife Alice and their combined family of 8 children.  Monet was 50 years old.  This marks the time when Monet's reputation as France's most important contemporary landscape painter was set.  Giverny offered Monet and his family distance from Paris and access to nature-- the French countryside to paint and a private garden to cultivate and paint.

Join Clare Kunny on a virtual visit to Monet's house and gardens at Giverny.  Indulge your senses and enjoy the creative spirit that abounds in this exquisite setting. Previously, Clare led us through a wonderous tour of Barcelona.
