Nagourney on politics and more!

Sponsored by the UCLA Emeriti Association and the UCLA Retirees Association.

We have a change of pace and format with our featured speaker being Adam Nagourney of the New York Times who will engage in dialogue with our own Dan Mitchell and with questions from the audience. This mimics the very successful presentations of Zev Yaroslavsky at Emeriti dinners that have kept the audience entranced. The tentative subject will be the fallout from the recent presidential election, but will pivot to subjects that may arise in the news. He has been a White House correspondent, covered numerous presidential campaigns—including 2020, and served as the New York Times Los Angeles bureau chief for many years. He has also written about the restaurant scene in Los Angeles and is the co-author, with Dudley Clendinen, of Out for Good, a history of the modern gay rights movement.
