WELCOME TO THE HIDDEN TREASURES OF THE VENETO

Join the Retirees on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at 11:00 am for our virtual tour of these little known gems in the enchanting towns outside of Venice.

Often overshadowed by its regional capital, Venice, the Veneto is an area filled with enchanted towns, inspired landscapes, and hidden art treasures. Come with us to visit some of those charming locations; we'll go inland and off the beaten track to discover medieval settings tucked into the pre-alpine landscapes so familiar to us from northern Italian Renaissance paintings. There we'll see works by such luminatires as Giotto, Veronese, Giorgione and Canova, among others, that are still to be found in their original locations. Join ArtMuse LA lecturer (and UCLA alumna) Robin Trento for a virtual adventure.

We'll immerse ourselves in these charming medieval towns, beautiful landscapes, and local cuisine. Previously ArtMuse LA has led us on wondrous visits to Barcelona, Monet's gardens at Giverny, and Casa Azul in Mexico.

PLEASE NOTE: The ZOOM information on this event will be emailed to confirmed registrants on the Monday before, May 24, 2021.
