The UCLA Planetarium is part of the Mathematical Sciences Building, and is operated by the UCLA Department of Physics and Astronomy. The UCLA Planetarium will offer us a unique introductory to astronomy
Our show will be presented by Lynnie Saade, an astronomy & astrophysics PhD student at the University of California, Los Angeles, where she uses X-rays to better understand active galactic nuclei.
This program will be about active galactic nuclei and the night sky in Stellarium.
Active galactic nuclei are among the most energetic phenomena in the Universe. Powered by supermassive black holes, they can outshine galaxies and rewrite their evolution.
Join us to learn about supermassive black holes, active galactic nuclei, and their importance in the Universe. Then view our virtual planetarium show in Stellarium, where we will explore some of the objects you can see on a dark, clear night sky
