Sponsored by the UCLA Emeriti Association and the UCLA Retirees Association.
Come and explore the wild, strange and sometimes shocking twists of World War II from the coast of California to the battlefields of Europe, Africa and Asia. Topics include stories of the classified deception units, hero animals, the only dentist to be awarded the Medal of Honor for bravery, and why red lipstick was considered a necessity and how it helped with winning the War. Shine a light on the controversies and intrigues of this monumental time in world history.
Ticket price (Full price is $26.95, but we can pay $21.95 per person-a special price if we get a group of 25) includes both the WWII exhibit AND all of the Museum's permanent exhibits (Air Force 1, Marine 1, the Reagan Library and memorabilia and the grounds). You are free to go at your own pace.
No transportation is included for this excursion, but parking is free at the Reagan Library. And there are shuttles from the parking area to the Library. We would assemble at 10am at the main entrance to the Reagan Library for entrance at 10:30am.
A box lunch can be included in your ticket for an additional cost of $17.50. There is a choice of either a turkey or ham sandwich (with lettuce, sliced tomato on a French roll), a bottle of water, a piece of fresh fruit, chips and a cookie in each box. But we need at least 15 who join us to get this offer.
We ask that you kindly bring your Vaccination record (2 initial vaccinations and 2 boosters-shown either on your phone or hard copy); or proof of a negative COVID test within 48 hours of the tour. Masking, though optional in the Library, is strongly recommended.
The Reagan Presidential Library is located at:
40 Presidential Drive, Simi Valley, CA, 93065
Join us for a walk through the back stories of World War II and a view of the Reagan Library.
