Come and participate in a fascinating and imminently humorous reveal of a multitude of artists whose art is within the Getty Collection.
Impressionism: Finding and Capturing the Light
One of the most popular art movements, Impressionism has captivated us for over a hundred years. But why do we love it so? Is it the colors? The subject matter? Those loose brush strokes? Taking a closer look at the small but impressive (pardon the pun) collection at the Getty. we will explore the artists who made this movement their own including Degas, Monet, Renoir, Manet and Sisley.
Our speaker, Ms. Lee Rubenstein, is a most active and entertaining lecturer. She holds dual degrees in English and History with a minor in Art History. She has been leading gallery tours for students at the Getty since 2012. In addition, she created and runs a volunteer art program in a Title I school.
This is a per-household event, so you can have as many persons gather around your screen as you can safely and comfortably accommodate. But you must register to receive the ZOOM link-which will be sent out to only those who register. That link will be sent out a few days in advance of the lecture.
There is no charge to attend this program.
