This Matinee performance of Madame Butterfly acknowledges that many classic works in the operatic repertoire depict racial and gender stereotypes, and Madame Butterfly portrays inaccurate representations of Asian culture. The presentation of this opera has been prepared in consultation with the Asian Opera Alliance, which encourages companies to continue producing these works with care and appropriate input to examine, acknowledge and mitigate potential harm.

Parking and Arrival
There is a free pre-performance talk one hour before every opera. If you would like to attend the pre-performance talk, please plan to arrive one hour and 30 minutes before the opera begins. Otherwise, please try to arrive at least 30 minutes early so you have ample time to find parking.
- TRAVELING BY CAR — If traveling by car, you may park in The Music Center garage entering on Grand Avenue. Parking is $10 per vehicle.
- TRAVELING BY BUS — Buses may unload on Hope Street. Your driver will need to park elsewhere and return for pickup.
