Trailhead
Trail and SM Bay
Day Hike on the Los Liones Trail. Join us for a uphill walk through blooming coastal vegetation with views of the Santa Monica Bay, inland to DTLA and more.
The trail head is at the road's end of Los Liones Road (and the back entrance to the Getty Villa). There is free parking on several lots down the street from the trail head, but parking at the trail head is usually full early. The trail is mostly uphill, considered an intermediate challenge for hikers, so recommend that those who wish to take this challenge be prepared. Bring water, sunscreen, a hat proper foot wear, and dress in layers.
The hike is limited to 25 persons. There is no cost for this program-no parking cost, no entry fee-What a deal!! The hike is about 3.5 miles roundtrip and about 2.5-3 hours in duration. Meet at the trail head-the gate into the Los Liones trail-at road's end at 9am.
FYI-the only available restrooms are near the parking area.
Additionally, there is a nature trail outside the park if you still have the energy. Or you can proceed to the Parker Mesa overlook (more uphill ending in a great view but it will make the hike about 7 miles roundtrip.)
More information about this hike will be transmitted to the registrants via email, so kindly make sure you have entered your correct email address.
