Please join us virtually for an upcoming University of California Retirement Plan (UCRP) Program Overview designed to help employees better understand the retirement benefits available through the UC system. This session will provide a high-level introduction to the University of California Retirement Plan, the University’s pension program that provides eligible employees with a lifetime retirement benefit.
During this informational session, participants will learn about how UCRP works, including eligibility requirements, vesting, and how retirement benefits are calculated based on factors such as age, years of service credit, and highest average plan compensation. The session will also cover key features of the plan, including retirement income, survivor and disability benefits, and cost-of-living adjustments.
In addition, attendees will receive a brief overview of voluntary savings options available to UC employees that can help supplement retirement income.
Whether you are new to UC or planning ahead for the future, this session is a great opportunity to learn more about how your UC benefits can support your long-term financial goals.
All employees are encouraged to attend. Additional details, including date, time, and registration information, will be shared soon.
Our speaker, Camille Carr, is one of two UCLA Retirement Counselors at the Benefits office from UCLA Campus Human Resources. She has over 25 years of experience in benefits and retirement counseling for campus staff. She assists campus employees whose last names begin A – K.
